    TEAM 7 has been run by the owner family ever since it was founded on 7.9.1959. The TEAM 7 brand was registered in 1965. 1999 Georg Emprechtinger took over the company management. On 7.9.2004 Georg Emprechtinger acquired 49% of the shares in TEAM 7 Natürlich Wohnen GmbH and on the remaining 51%. The managing directors are Georg Emprechtinger, responsible for marketing and commercial matters, and Hermann Pretzl, who is responsible for production.

    Precious hardwoods from sustainably managed forests, glued using formaldehyde-free glues and finished with natural herbal oils: TEAM 7's unique purity standard provides a healthy room climate and is kind to the environment. TEAM 7 makes natural wood furniture to order for the living areas kitchen, dining, living, sleeping and children/young adults. In addition to seven native hardwoods from sustainably managed forests, the company's numerous models and variants offer a wide range of options and choices.

    TEAM 7 monitors the entire process, from the tree to the finished furniture. Its sawmill in Hungary, natural wood board-making factory in Pram and furniture factories in Ried and Pram are all part of the TEAM 7 value-adding chain. TEAM 7 employs a total workforce of 650 people. Two thirds of them are carpenters with an in-depth understanding of traditional manual skills and craftsmanship. TEAM 7's managing director Hermann Pretzl is responsible for the company's sustained, environmentally-friendly production.

    Furniture made in harmony with nature. The production process is checked from the tree right through to the finished furniture, which guarantees that manufacturing process of TEAM 7 natural wood furniture is as environmentally friendly as possible. Ecological, social and economic responsibility on all levels are a matter of course for TEAM 7. TEAM 7's extensive environmental activities are documented in the company's sustainability report. TheEMAS logo emphasises that TEAM 7 natural wood furniture is produced ecologically and sustainably.

  • Purchasing

    TEAM 7 selects its suppliers according to the extent to which they comply with the company's central image. Contrary to the general trend towards global sourcing, TEAM 7 has always preferred regional purchasing structures. In addition to the short distances and correspondingly lower pollutant and CO2 emissions with which this is associated, the flexibility of a regional supply network is an important element in TEAM 7's ability to perform. Another positive effect lies in the creation and preservation of highly qualified jobs in the region. Through the interaction between local purchasing and a high export share, TEAM 7 has been able to strengthen Austria's position as an economic centre for the long term.

  • Tested quality and safety

    The TEAM 7 brand promises quality. The quality of TEAM 7 furniture is checked months before it is launched on the market in the company's own test laboratory with regard to construction, function, ergonomics, stability and safety. Compliance with all the usual DIN and ISO standards, as well as the national Ö-standards (Austrian standards), is established in the test laboratory. All TEAM 7 kitchen and children's furniture is tested by the LGA Nuremberg and carries the "tested safety" seal.

  • Own brand distributors / marketing structure

    TEAM 7 furniture is sold to individual customers in more than 30 countries, both from the company's own premises and from TEAM 7 studios. TEAM 7 has seven sites, with premises in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Wels and Ried and Hamburg and Munich in Germany. TEAM 7's export share stands at 81% and its main export markets are Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France and the Benelux countries.
