  • 2011: Award-winning design

    Design awards confirm the international renown of TEAM 7. The company's products win several awards in 2011, including the red dot design award (stern coffee table, lux living range) and the interior innovation award (stern coffee table, lux living range, vao kitchen).
    TEAM 7 wins the Austrian State Prize for Marketing for its innovative communications concept.

  • 2010: Flagship store in Vienna

    The sixth TEAM 7 brand store is inaugurated in January 2010. With this store, Vienna now includes one more address for exclusive design, first class advice and a source of inspiration for natural living. Located right in the heart of the city, in its 1st district and in the immediate vicinity of other premium brands, the TEAM 7 flagship store embodies the company's unique success.

  • 2009: 50 years of TEAM 7

    On 7 September 2009 the company celebrates its 50th anniversary. Genuine natural wood, timeless design and innovative technology define half a century of TEAM 7.

  • 2009: New factory opens in Pram

    TEAM 7 opens a second factory in Pram to further improve its productivity and quality. The complete range of tables and beds is produced in a factory covering 5,000 sqm.

     

  • 2009: Austrian environment mark

    Consistent sustainability in production pays off – TEAM 7 is awarded the Austrian environment mark.

     

  • 2006: Under complete control

    Dr. Georg Emprechtinger acquires all shares in the company. TEAM 7 is now managed 100% by its proprietor.

  • 1999: Family-owned company in the 2nd generation

    On 7 September 1999, Erwin Berghammer hands over the company's management to Dr. Georg Emprechtinger. The new managing director hires leading international designers and enlarges the company's own creative team headed by senior designer Jacob Strobel.

  • 1994: First brand store in Wels

    TEAM 7 sets standards in furniture sales with the opening of its first own brand store in Wels. The secret behind successful sales lies in outstandingly qualified employees and a showroom that captivates the customers.

  • 1991: New investments

    TEAM 7 reports rising sales figures and invests in own production facilities. The company sets up its own factory producing solid wooden boards in Pram (Upper Austria) in 1991. Two years later, TEAM 7 opens the Natur-Holz-Technik (natural wood technology) sawmill in Borsfa (Hungary).

     

  • The 1980s: The discovery of alder as a furniture material

    In the years of the company's transition, TEAM 7's founder Erwin Berghammer discovers the advantages of alder as a furniture material. The abundantly available common alder is hitherto only used on a commercial scale for firewood. This changes when the Austrian company begins to finish the surface of the wood with natural herbal oil. The durable fine-grained furniture from TEAM 7 is in great demand. Sustainability is the catchword.

  • 1980: Pioneer for ecologically produced natural wood furniture

    In 1980 TEAM 7 converts its entire production to organic furniture. The general public has a heightened awareness of pollutants and wants a healthier style of living without pollutants. Berghammer therefore gives up the production of conventional egg-shell furniture. From 1980 onwards, he exclusively produces solid wood furniture finished with natural products, pioneering the development of ecological furniture.

  • 1965: The company name is officially changed to TEAM 7

    The name stands for the TEAM spirit that still characterizes the company today and for the 7 executives who ran the company at that time.

  • 1959: Foundation of the company

    On 7 September 1959, Erwin Berghammer sets up a small joinery in Ried im Innkreis (Upper Austria). The company originally manufactures white egg-shell furniture in series. From 1965 onwards, the company operates under the brand name TEAM 7.
