55 years of TEAM 7: the premium natural wood furniture brand continues its success story

This year TEAM 7 is celebrating its 55th anniversary with the company in a healthy position and with a clear identity. The brand‘s premium Austrian furniture is globally considered to set industry standards and the company itself is seen as an inspiring pioneer with vast innovative prowess and great potential. What‘s more this success story in Ried is still far from reaching its apogee: since 2008 the company has invested EUR 30 million in production and, between 2008 and 2009, a sizeable portion of this investment went towards the construction of Plant 2 (used for the production of tables and beds) in Pram. No less than EUR 3 million has been invested into the production sites in Ried and Pram this year. According to Dr Georg Emprechtinger, who has been the Managing Director and sole owner of the company since 1999: „Our solid development has been sustained by our own efforts to combine traditional values, pioneering design and technological advancement. This is basis of our brand‘s appeal and the economic success that we want to continue around the world.“

TEAM 7: the background to a success story

TEAM 7 is a brand that is as strong as a tree, with well-established roots and healthy upward-growing branches. As Managing Director Dr Georg Emprechtinger says: „A successful brand is a good story and we increase the appeal of the TEAM 7 brand by making each new direction taken by the company and every one of its innovations a new chapter of this story.“ The story began over five decades ago with a carpenter‘s workshop, which then in 1980 started to focus all its efforts on a niche market – natural wood furniture – long before the organic boom took off. This pioneering spirit is an important prerequisite for any story that is going to interest customers.
