genuine natural characteristics
Wild walnut is characterized by a deliberately natural grading in which knotholes are clearly visible. These natural features produce a genuine, lively wood look with a distinctly more rustic appearance than that of conventional walnut. Knots and fissures can change and become larger with time as the material adapts naturally to the room climate. The color becomes lighter through regular exposure to sunlight.
The outstanding processing qualities are characteristic of walnut. Wild walnut is hard and dimensionally stable with virtually no elasticity. Its hardness makes wild walnut highly durable and resistant to wear.
The valuable wild walnut wood is ideal for producing high-quality solid wood furniture.
The wild walnut used by TEAM 7 comes from Austria, Slovenia and Hungary.
Rustic walnut is available for fronts, table tops and beds.
