TEAM 7 and Hodnebo are entering into a strategic partnership to market their furniture. This was announced by the Managing Directors of Hodnebo and TEAM 7, Johnny Torp and Georg Emprechtinger, on 18 February 2010 in Oslo. TEAM 7, a pioneer and market leader in ecologically produced designer furniture, will now be selling its furniture in 16 Hodnebo stores, securing itself an extensive sales network in Norway. Hodnebo, on the other hand, has been given the opportunity to market its latest product, the Spinnaker chair, amongst others, in TEAM 7 stores in Germany and Austria.
TEAM 7 is 50 years old and is investing nine million Euros in a new furniture factory in Pram – a clear commitment to local production and an expression of confidence in future growth. The Austrian furniture manufacturer is in top form: The high standards of quality and design of TEAM 7 enabled the company to double its sales in the last four years making it currently one of Europe’s strongest furniture brands.
Clear design, intelligent functionality, perfect craftsmanship, sensual appeal - cubusT1 from TEAM 7 is a model of the aesthetic of modern everyday life. With its linear, minimalist design and balanced proportions the table, despite its size, appears to float.
The magnum chair with its clear and simple design demonstrates a successful synthesis of lightness and modernity as well as a high degree of hand-craftsmanship and technical finesse. A new wood design has now been added to the popular magnum cantilever range. The discrete stand-alone design of the steel cantilever chair creates a beautiful contrast with the sensual oiled wood of the seat.
Sprung flat-rolled steel combined with total comfort – the lux chair with its graceful form and sophisticated workmanship won the interior innovation award 2008 and even made the final round of the prestigious American design award “Best of the Year 2008 Product Contest” of the design magazine ID (Interior Design).
A modern interpretation of a classic design: the cubus cabinet with revolving doors. The cabinet makes an impression due to a contrasting mixture of materials – sensuous natural wood and cool coloured and clear glass. The interplay between smooth and natural surfaces lend the clear, minimalist design mode an exciting tension.
Perfectly disguised: The cubus writing desk from TEAM 7 – now new with coloured glass doors – forms a chest-of-drawers when closed but opens up to meet your home office needs. The work surface simply pulls out, offering plenty of space for a laptop or work documents.
Clear, large surfaces and straight lines with no unnecessary jumps, recesses and embellishments – the cubus programme is characterised by the sensuality of the natural woods and practical yet aesthetic forms. European cherry, walnut and core beech as well as alder, beech, oak and maple bend together perfectly and are carefully processed using traditional hand-crafting techniques.
The hall – no one can avoid it. The short moment of transition from outside to inside gives an impression of the living area and reveals the internal architecture to the visitor. In order to give an impression of space, clear and reserved furniture is required such as the cubus hall system 12 programme which allows room to breathe.
High-quality natural wood and pure presentation: the lunetto bed from Karl Auer und Alois Hangler promises relaxing sleep in a clear ambience. Selected natural woods lend the bed sensual warmth despite its clear design mode. The minimalist use of material in the lunetto beds available in futon, normal or comfort height gives an impression of exceptional lightness.
Its pure, streamlined design and unusual combination of materials make the riletto chest of drawers a one-off: the white leather cover of the sides stands out from the dark drawers of natural walnut lending the chest of drawers an impression of lightness. A design which perfectly matches and complements the prize-winning riletto bed from designer Kai Stania.
The design is clear – an exciting contrast of natural woods, leather and coloured glass: The riletto console by TEAM 7 is characterised by its straight lines and unusual material mix. The horizontal grain of the elegant walnut wood is soothing and calming on the eye.
This kitchen overcomes boundaries and combines the elementary functions of the ‘living’, ‘dining’ and ‘cooking’ areas: The k7 kitchen by designer Kai Stania. At the core of the k7 is the kitchen block with its height-adjustable work surface. This provides an ergonomically-designed work space at all times. It also transforms the kitchen into a living area in terms of its appearance: By lowering the work surface, the kitchen block can be used as a sideboard, creating a subtle and understated feature.
The linee kitchen from TEAM 7 is both modern and urban. Its angular-quadratic forms, generous surfaces and clear linearity combine in exceptional elegance. The minimal design mode highlights the charisma of the selection of woods, cherry, walnut, beech, core beech, maple and alder. The successful mixture of natural wood and stainless steel imparts modern lightness and an atmosphere of comfort.
